Party Horse House

Gotta love listings that prominently feature photos of the random statuary.

Horses and topless girls go together like peanut butter and jelly, apparently.

Look in on your liquor collection from outdoors! Because you can!

This last one is actually the first photo on the listing. The really odd part about it is that it looks sort of weathered, like it’s a photograph of a computer screen or something instead of just a screenshot.

  1. Nice place, but I have to say: exposure to sunlight is a good way to ruin your liquor. I guess they expect to drink it before the sun comes up.

  2. I guess they like yellow!!! Anyway, the location is great but the house…yuck. Design nightmare and classless junk.

  3. I was struck by how the property includes that inexplicable little tag of land intruding into the neighbor’s yard and abutting his driveway.

“Why,” I ask myself. “Why insist on owning a little tab of land whose only discernible purpose is to be the first thing that neighbor has to look at every day when he pulls out into his driveway, and the last thing he sees at night while turning into his garage?”

Oddly enough, my imagination turned to the display of unique statuary. :D

  4. Graceless… almost entirely graceless. The entry porch is a tiny exception. Still not great design, but it’s fairly inviting. Too bad it’s inviting you into a House of (Decorating) Horrors!!! Given the color scheme I’m tempted to say this is the personal abode of Mr. French. You know, famous inventor of French’s Mustard. But then again he would have the resources to hire an actual decorator, as opposed to having disaffected former employees sling his product on the walls. And floors. And ceilings. And…

A couple of almost amusing details…

In one of the baths, someone has arranged their collection of pottery on a glass shelf… directly above the whirlpool tub. That way they can relax and admire the… bottoms(?) of said pottery during a soothing soak.

Also, the pathetic attempt to make the equine statuary seem regally imposing in the photo here and as Pic 17 at the listing. But looking at Pic 6 reveals that someone’s got a little… pony envy.
