The actual home of the actual Johnny Depp ~Scream!~ is up for sale.
But wait… there’s more! According to Sotheby’s International Realty, the approximately 37 acre retreat in Southern France includes:
…an entire ‘hameau’, a private, small Provençal village comprising more than a dozen buildings, including a main house, several guest cottages, a bar & restaurant, a workshop/garage, a staff house and much more.
While the listing says there’s a chapel, this site says it’s been converted into guest quarters. Hopefully, that could explain the presence of a bed, a bathtub, and… a confessional(?!) in the same room. “Paging Dr. Freud!”
Whatevs! What’s totally cool is that Johnny himself ~swoon~ decorated all the buildings in the whole village, which explains this awesome room, including the Alas-Poor-Yorick prop(?) on the side table.
But the BEST EVER part? OMG I can’t believe it… some of Johnny’s personal belongings are INCLUDED IN THE SALE!!!

It’s like a buy-your-own village. So when you sell the village you own, it makes one wonder where Johnny Depp would moving to. Is he downsizing or upsizing?
@Frodo: He and his long-time French ladyfriend, who have 2-3 children together, broke up in the last year or two. Not sure where he’s living now, but I can see him not wanting to live where he once lived with his ex. BTW, he just now married some woman around 30 years younger than he is. Ahh… the life of the rich and famous.
30 years younger than he is? He’s either older than I realized or he took a child bride. I’ve always found him creepy, though — even in his clean-shaven 21 Jump Street days.
@MsWildhack: He’s about a month younger than I am – 52. Amber Heard is 29, so the actual difference is 23 years. That still makes her closer in age to his two teenagers than to him. According to Wikipedia he’s had a succession of significant others with multiple engagements. His longest relationship (14 years) was with Vanessa Paradis, the mother of his kids. Heard is only the second woman he’s married. The first was when he was 20 and lasted 2 years.
Turns out he owned his French hideaway for only about 5 years, 2007-2012.
I don’t find him “creepy,” but his strong facial features – prominent angled cheek bones and strong jawline – do put me in mind of a Siamese cat. At turns I find him scraggly and really hot. Some guys can pull off both at the same time, but IMO Depp isn’t one of them.
