@Samme: LOL! Now that *I* reread it, did you mean the totally sketchy building down near the water, the one that looked like it was about to fall in? 'Cause yeah... I'd agree - one stiff wind and it'll be on the water for sure!

@Emerald63: I was thinking early 80's. I don't think it's been redecorated since it was rebuilt. I love the "new" CRT TV sitting on the old cabinet TV in #4. Classic. You used to see that set-up through the '90s where I am in the Southeast, but you just don't anymore. So I'm surprised to see it in Washington.

@Samme: Um... I'm a bit confused... "...a stiff wind away from being literally true." I'm not a boater, so I think I must be missing something. Since a bass boat doesn't have a sail, I would think a stiff wind wouldn't be too much of a problem. Am I wrong about that? Or did you mean something else by "a stiff wind"? Your TV sculpture idea is cool. Trouble with rednecks, though, is they miss the finer points of such things, such as social commentary, irony, and the like. They're not known for their high-falutin intellectual observations, lol.

“Garage right on the water” is a stiff wind away from being literally true. My only thought on the TVs was that it would be really cool to mount a flat screen to the wall above the second TV. Then you could treat it as a sculpture representing the generations of technology or the wastefulness of society or something.

My, what a… lovely… (?!) entry… ramp? And I don’t know when I’ve seen such a superb rendition of a ’70s retro fest! (Maybe in the ’70s?) More precisely, this is a ’70s redneck retro fest. That lovely side lamp in Pic 3 sprouting from the head of… Confucius? Kwan Yin? …whomever provides only slightly less proof that rednecks live any and everywhere than does the kitsch-cool TV stand in Pic 4. “If you’re TV stand is an older TV that don’t work no more, you might be a redneck!” And best of all y’all… there’s a garage right on the water for my bass boat! YeeHaw!

Well, that certainly is a puzzler. The listing says, “Daylight basement home completely rebuilt in 1981, from the foundation up” – which is a fascinating spin on picture #15, where a great deal of “daylight” – not to mention a bit of water – is visible among the pilings upon which an otherwise foundation-less structure is precariously balanced. Pre-1981 picture, apparently.

Perhaps someone jacked up one of those grandfathered waterside-shacks-on-pilings you hear about, poured a cb&s “foundation” under it, and repented at leisure while watching the boats go by. I doubt anyone really wants to see how well that’s held up… hence the verrry odd pictures and listing language [“bring your dreams”].

Translation: “Hey, water-hippies! Come make your stand and stick it to the Man in a squat nobody can make you tear down!”
