Yes, it's one-half of a duplex - "south" being the right-hand side of pic 1, with views of the city best viewed from the rooftop retreat, over the neighbor's roof. Other views feature that neighboring building (across your and their abutting parking lots), and a privacy fence across a tiny scrap of backyard, where the rest of the bedrooms are partially below grade.

It's a site with many challenges (buildings crowded together, utility poles/wires, etc.), but I have to hand it to them - they've cheerfully made the most of it. :)

Now *this* is what I call a "looney" listing! But maybe not that surprising from the "Playhouse Design Group" that designed it, eh?

I like what I see, although I'm not sure I could live in a place quite that modernly spartan. But it's nice for what it is. And there *are* some colors, though emphasis on *some.*

I'm not sure what exactly is going on with the place... It seems to be a duplex, but, considering the windows we see from the outside and the ones we see from the inside, I'm not sure where the other 2 of the 3 bedrooms are hiding. Looking at Pic 3 it doesn't seem they're on the backside and I'd hate to think they're in the basement. All I can think is that maybe it's not a duplex, although the text directly on Pic 3 provides 2 addresses. Whuh?

I wish they would include floor plans with listings; it would certainly clear up some questions. My other big question is whether that kitchen/dining/living room combo we see is the only communal living space for a 3 bedroom home. 'Cause if that's the case, it's gonna be a problem for most families. The weather isn't always going to allow the nice roof deck to be a getaway spot.

So, what do you guys think? One place or two?
