You like trains, right?

Nothing like a photograph of the train that whooshes by ten feet from your backyard to sell your home.

This whole photo set is full of win. In addition to the train, we’ve got a photograph of a computer monitor displaying Bing Maps…

A random dig at property investors…

A… um… painting(?) of a burning Chase Bank…

…and a random wolf howling in front of a giant moon.

Because why not.

OK, let’s see… potential for disastrous accidents and other destruction…

    1) train wrecks
    2) beach erosion just the other side of the train tracks due to high tides and/or storms
    3) flash floods from the nearby mountains
    4) oh, right, California… earthquakes

With those sort of odds you’d think they’d actually show some of what may just be pretty cool interiors, given the mid-century modern California style. Too bad they took up their allotted photo slots with their own personal “art” collection.

One other thing which I just can’t figure out… On another copy of the front exterior shot there’s a caption that reads “Count down to June 3!! Last 10 days at this price!!!” So… they’re going to *raise* the price? No? Well if they’re going to drop it, why the hell are they telling people to just wait a couple days so they can get it cheaper? WTF?! Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller? Anyone?

I swear, it’s like my oldest child (and his extraordinary ADHD) grew up to become a realtor with a severe caffeine habit. “Hey i gotta sell this house soon or i will be broke ok maybe i’ll post this pic and ooh this one looks cool and yeah squirrel pie random wheeeee!!” *clicks Post To Site button before cartwheeling out the door to hang upside-down from the Starbucks awning for 15 minutes…*

The wheels are singin’ to the railroad track
Sayin’ ‘If you go, you can’t come back,
If you go, you can’t come back
If you go— you can’t come back.

And, like, that would be bad, why?

  4. @Denita TwoDragons: It’s worth noting that this is a FSBO, so presumably there’s no realtor involved. Not that agents haven’t posted things just as weird/terrible.

@Marty E.: ROFL! So it’s my son as an adult trying to sell his own house, then… ;-)
