@anodean: Um, yeah... it's been back on with new episodes since 2009... kinda. Fox cancelled it in 2003, but then Cartoon Network ran reruns up to 2007. After that, four direct-to-DVD "movies" came out, which were eventually shown as 16 episodes on Comedy Central. There've been four seasons since then, spanning 2010-2013. I'm sure you can find them all through Netflix and the like, on commercial DVD, and possibly online. It's one of the few modern cartoons actually worth looking for. Sometimes, I *do* want to live on this planet anymore. :D (I got the dates from Wikipedia, which has a *lengthy* article on the show.)

@anodean: Had you heard? Mom's is going out of business in September. :( New Futurama episodes start Wednesday, June 19. Between Frodo's info and your notice of the plonked-down-in-a-space quality, I think I know why I felt the interiors looked more like loft-style ones. Another mystery solved. :)

Mmm! Ahhh! Oh, there’s just nothing like a good soak in a tub of Mom’s Old-fashioned Robot Oil!

I think you’re right, Frodo, all the room/hall walls (including the bath dividers) have that oddly-proportioned, plonked-down-in-a-space quality… and a re-purposed space would also explain the determined trendy-art-for-the-sake-of-itself decor, as that environment attracts such. :D

Well, I think I got it figured out. The building this is in what used to be a school that’s been renovated and turned into condominiums. This listing is what was the gymnasium which looks to have been about 45′ x 56′. The high ceiling area requires larger spaces in order to look better so the floor space gets taken up quickly with the open floor plan.

One has to wonder *why* the “Lubrication” reminder is necessary… (O_o)

Other than that, I noted something, not sure what, suspended in front of the fireplace. Looks sort of like a large mobile that’s lost its baubles. Any guesses there, anyone? And I love how that dining table reminds me of the cars from The Flintstones.

I’m with you, Frodo, one could do better for that price. Add to the price the good sized square footage – more than 2500 – and yet the place only has 2 bedrooms. We don’t see a whole lot of views, so where does all that space get used up?

In some ways I like the interiors. It’s just that they look like they would be much more appropriate in a loft or modern style house, rather than in an otherwise stately looking brick manse. For that matter, I really like some aspects of the brick facade, although the smallish and rectangular entry doesn’t work so well with the row of arched window surrounds on the second floor. The wrought iron gate really doesn’t help, either.

So… lubrication… “So, there’s that.” Yupper.
