  1. Just as soon as I got past the (hopefully) inadvertent monster face seen in the first picture here, I recognized this for what it really is – a Hobbit’s wet dream. So I must be part Hobbit from way back ’cause I *like* it! Wowee!! Gorgeous handcrafting, eh? This is what our last entry was trying to did but not quite succeed at. Too bad there are only 10 pics and no street view (darned private streets!).

Of the pics there are I can find nary a thing wrong with the place. I do have two pressing questions though, as my voyeuristic interest has been piqued in no small fashion. In Pic 4, is that a hot tub I spy just behind the fireplace? Complete with a stained glass window? Pic 7 also has what seems to be a hot tub, but outdoors. Although that one may be a continuatation of the other feature I had a question about. In Pic 8 there’s a long water feature, what seems to be a lap pool, considering the yellow stripe down the middle (which is also visible in Pic 7). The far end… does that disappear into some sort of tunnel? Or a grotto? Where does it go??? To some even more whimsical fantasy-land feature? ARG! I want to tour this house!! And have what seems to be a ridiculously low $1.8M to make it MINE!! Although you guys would be welcome to visit…

  2. @Emerald63: Visit? I’ll live in the little grotto and keep the leaves picked out of the pool. :D

  3. @anodean: Hey, beats the price of a pool boy. Just so long as you don’t start obsessing about some damn ring… ;)

  4. I did have another thought while showing the photos to my hubby. All those undulating walls with wild lines of shingles…. what the heck would those look like if you came home drunk? Would the walls suddenly be flat and the shingles in neat rows, a la the mundane world just down the road?

  6. @Emerald63: No prob, not into jewelry. Can’t promise I wouldn’t do improvisational songs about fish, though.

  8. @Emerald63: Oh hey, I just realized that if you watch over at YouTube you’ll find the lyrics below the video screen. Click on the “Show More” button and you’ll get the whole five minutes worth of horrendous puns spelled out for you.

  9. @Emerald63: The thought chased through my head, “Well, fine, probably couldn’t beat Wet Dream, but let’s roll the Gollem clip…” and you astonished me again. That played many, many years ago on the Dr. Demento Show. Who knew there was a video? :D

  10. @anodean: Good Ol’ Dr. Demento! I was a scosche young for a lot of his late night fun, but what I heard I liked!

  11. Emerald: Yes that is a hot tub in the bedroom in Pic 4. Also, the pool ends in a small area where the pool cover is and pump/heater etc…. I am the photographer. There are other images but from the street this home is pretty much hidden so there is not a very good street view.

  12. @David Palermo: Thank you for the information, David! And… you lucky dog, you, getting to roam around this stunning home. Your photos are gorgeous, too, and not just because your subject was awesome. My brother’s a photographer so I know nice photos when I see them. Best of all… you made this place even greater for me when you revealed the quasi-hidden hot tub is ***in the bedroom***!!!
