Ocean Ghosts Free With Purchase

No idea what’s going on down on the water beneath this home.

Some kind of photoshop-artifact ghost apparently haunts these parts.

Okay, whatever… How’s the actual house?

Let’s take a look at the only full exterior shot:

New sales strategy for seven-million-dollar homes: Get your kid to draw the place in colored pencil, include said drawing as the only clear view of the entire exterior.

  1. According to the listing text, there’s a house there now that’s for sale, a ranch house, but there are also “fully approved plans” for one with double the square footage. The drawing is of the planned house. Gotta say, though, the description of it as a “masterpiece” gives away the fact that whoever wrote the comments doesn’t know what the hell they’re talking about. If you ask me, having an authentic mid-century modern home (built in 1958) on a prime piece of ocean front property is ultimately more desirable than just another piece of show-off schlock. Not that I’d want to live that close to the edge of an ocean cliff, mind you, no matter how old, new, nice, or crumby the house is. Nice view, though.

Hardly anything of the interior is shown, sadly. The only thing of note, other than those fantabulous views, is the odd choice of flat turquoise blue for the backing color of the built in shelves. Ewww… it totally clashes with the dominant color – the beautiful *ocean* blue of the, well… ocean. Nature gonna trump human 9 times out of 10. Like this time.

  2. Trying to figure out the reason for the photoshopping … in the second pic it might be as simple as there being a legal problem if you include a random stranger in a real estate listing, so boom – surfboard has no surfer. The first pic poses more questions though – what undesirable feature is being hidden? Floating trash?

  4. Ah, a beautiful day, and a shoal of flat-screens swimming by at the base of the cliff. Grab a fishing pole and let’s go! All our friends already have their flat-screen trophies mounted on their walls!
