About that color... LOVE it. But if it were the NSA rather than NASA watching, there might be a camo fix. At the bottom of the listing is an aerial photo. Lots of trees clustered around the house making the same shape shadows as the domes. I say paint it all green and from the air they'll look just like more trees. Voila - hide in plain sight! Too bad there's an enormous parking lot just across the hedge to the north, though.

Fun, fun, fun place. I suspect most of it was created by plastering over inflatable domes. It's a thing, really. Allow the plaster (concrete, whatever) to set up, then deflate the dome. Marty, this would account for some of the inside curvature. The structural material also provides all the insulating benefits of adobe. The round and almond shaped windows are to preserve the dome's structural integrity; square openings would be a problem.

I'm not sure I like all the sunken areas, especially for the dining table. I can't imagine trundling down even a couple of stairs carrying a serving dish of steaming hot anything. I'm also mystified by a raised platform near the end of the listing photos. Surrounding furniture suggests it's a bed, but why is it raised that far... and covered in carpeting?

I like the kitchen, but I would have gone with gray rather than black. I get that black may be a visual counterweight (see what I did there, lol?) to the bright colors outside, but it's pretty intense. Either way, in one of the kitchen photos you can see a small glassed in geodesic dome. I really like that they continued the dome theme even for this little sunroom.

Sweet house for $1M, that is if you can handle the desert temps.

You should have seen it before it faded - NASA was using it as a landmark. :D
