@Colleen: Thanks Colleen. It would be interesting to see, but don't sweat it if you can't find it; don't put yourself out trying to. It's good enough for me to know that they, too, thought it was weird, although I'm surprised they bought the house. I guess the rest of it was what they needed/wanted. I certainly hope they have room to put up walls if they want to, or at least dividers of some sort. At the top of the stairs?! Sheesh!!

Hi Emerald, I tried to find the show on hgtv, but couldn’t find it. The couple thought it was very weird with the bathroom open, but they bought the house. I would assume they put walls up, as the bath was at the top of the stairs into the master bedroom. I’ll do more checking around to see if I can find it.

@Colleen: Where was the house? And how did the couple react? Did they seem OK with the idea? How did the owner/agent/show host try to "spin" the design?

Remind me never to raise horses in the south of England. This place is tiny, has no actual bathroom, and they want…. $650K for it. (O_o)

Do 500sqft of stables and feed room plus a bit of pasture really merit the price? Or is it because this is in the midst of a national forest? Along with lots of other small to medium sized houses… and lots of open fields… and apparently not much forest.

Well, if you have your heart set on this listing, there is another shower/toilet in the utility room, along with the washer/dryer hookups and – oh look! – a kitchen sink! Wow… two kitchen sinks. I guess this place really does have everything. [horses not included]

Oh dear me – do click through to the listing, I suspect picture #7 is the “before” shot – of this property’s previous incarnation as the stables down behind this lovely former paddock.
