Well, actually, we can only say that he's heading east... and that everywhere he goes, another swank empty property is suddenly put up for sale with a "wax butler" of disturbingly fierce mien in one of the listing photographs. That's no mannequin, that's an assassin.

You know, I think we’ve seen that exact same butler-mannequin decorating the wine repository of some other swanky condo – I think it was most of a floor in Miami, had a concert room, etc. So… does the Silent Sommelier not convey and travel widely, or is he merely one of an unsuspected army of such?

This could put a real spoke in the wheel for those of us who dream of becoming caretakers of cushy digs. Replaced by a casting. Dang.

Okay, that could be said about many of the things we see here. But I wonder the demographic they expect to appeal to with this.

“…offensive decor.” True, but it’s the “decor” that’s offensive, not anything that can’t be changed fairly easily. And once changed…

OMG this is a gorgeous penthouse! Over 6000sqft on the Vegas Strip for only $6.5M? With all the top of the line materials put together into stunning room after stunning room (again, with the naughty bits taken out)?

Just goes to show, choosing the right interior designer can make all the difference. Check out Pic 28 in this listing, then check out Pic 1 of the listing photos for our “All Swans, All the Time” post of March 24. It’s the same building. Only this unit has some actual taste, sans the few weird items. (Which, to be fair, do look exceptionally well crafted.) It also has a 25% lower price tag, even though it’s obviously on a much higher floor.

Whatever possessed the current resident to opt for lewd fixtures and creepy/offensive ersatz humans I don’t know and I don’t want to know. But for the listing in general, I’m calling it – FTW.
