@Mike Bates: Mmm... good thinking. Kind of like when viewing a public "art" installation and wondering where I was when that sweet contract got let... Thought provoking? Uh, yeah. Um. Yeah.

Though I have to admit, the third picture above with its existential paradox of the "END" juxtaposed against the little path winding onward past the flowering bush might actually qualify. :D

Perhaps that mailbox is really a magical portal that will take you to a real beach house, as in one on the beach, unlike this one, which requires a half-mile walk, including crossing the Pacific Coast Highway, to reach an actual beach. :\

Also, given the neighborhood, I don't think anyone is going to be pissed at you for "scoring" this house. It's not bad looking, it's just quite modest. At least the neighbors are friendly... several of them can be seen on Google street view waving at the camera. At least, I think they're waving...

On the upside, the house is on Hygeia Avenue. She's the Greek goddess of health, cleanliness, and sanitation. And her dad's the God of medicine, so it's a good family to be associated with, especially if your latest surfing jag has netted you a nasty shark bite.
