@JMixx: I know I've heard a similar argument somewhere, maybe about a parcel with river frontage? Do you remember anything like that? If so, please tell me from where!!! I'm gonna go nuts (OK, more nuts) if I don't figure it out!

Nope, uh-uh, not going to pay $520 to rent water unless they can guarantee me that it will be *my* water, and by that I mean always the *same* water, not some stuff shared with my neighbors. I take care of my home, but not everyone does. I don’t want their dirty water flowing all through my living space.

My luck, anything I brought would sink in there and I'd have to muster some insanely expensive effort to extract and dispose of it in order to return the property to condition received... in fact, add that to the property buyer checklist: "Go at low tide and check boathouse for foreign objects."

@Anodean: I dunno about the clubhouse bit. Did you look at the listing? Sadly, the "neighborhood" in the first photo doesn't look conducive to much of anything other than parking your boat.

Now all you need is a houseboat. This would be a really, really spiffy place to park a houseboat. I bet there are power and sewer hookups nearby, and even one of those clubhouse/bar-and-grocery operations within short walking distance. :D
