I know I’m the odd one out here, but I can’t get over the impression that the front door is a big gaping mouth, with wide eyes on either side and outstretched brick arms waiting to scoop one inside…OM NOM NOM!

@Frodo: It does have more of that lovely woodwork, and the yard looks quite a treat, too. I even like the mural. :) Perhaps we could pass the mechanic's pit off as something more upscale? Secure document storage? Wine cellar? Root vegetables? Meditation area? Emergency shelter?

It’s a bit dated, but otherwise it’s a decent place. Replace the linoleum with real tile or hardwood for starters, renovate the kitchen. But I love the sauna, so the bathroom would only need a little work done on it.

I kind of like the mechanic’s pit. I’ve often wished I had one of those since I do at least some of my own auto repair. It makes me wonder if I couldn’t make one at my house… “Honey, I have a project…!”
