@Anodean: Ahhh, the Patrician! Of course!! I do believe Paradox would give a fine portrayal of him, complete with trim build, silver hair, and a superior ability to harbor hidden motives. An excellent choice! As for the other, we will certainly let you know when tasks for which you are well suited require your attention. :D

@Emerald63: Are you quite certain that Paradox's "Richelieu" is not actually the Patrician of Ahnk-Morpork? I should think you would get on entirely well, for I seem to remember that his dungeon allies, the rats, were bringing him bottles of beer during his temporary indisposition there. I, of course, remain agreeable to tasks within my limited attention span, confident that such minds as the two of you will always know best how to bribe me. :D

@Paradox: Pardon, Monsieur, but I do not drink wine. Can't stomach the stuff. Give me a frosty lager any day... I must say as well I am now experiencing a disconcerting cognizant dissonance where my chosen metaphor of Richelieu is concerned. See, over the weekend the hubster and I finally started watching our backlogged DVR copies of the recent BBC series "The Musketeers," wherein a certain Peter Capaldi plays said Cardinal. The problem lies with the fact that as of 8/23 he will also be playing the newly regenerated Doctor Who. Even if we'd watched The Musketeers when it premiered instead of waiting, we would still have been assailed with ads for the coming season of DW. I find BBC at cross-purposes with itself and myself in a near state of fan whiplash accompanied with vertigo and nausea. Consequently, I withdraw Richelieu as the model for our, nay, my erstwhile Man Behind the Scenes. I shall ponder other candidates... I'll have my people call your people, 'kay?

Silently he enters the room where the conspirators, drunk on wine and ambition, now sleep soundly; he quickly feels the heft of their purses and exits with a slight grimace, thinking that if the project is to go forward his first task will be to recruit some wealthy patrons to the cause…

Well whadya know? I thought this place looked familiar, too. But unlike the last listing, there are no nefarious connections here (that I know of). Took until I got to Pics 35 and 36 before I was sure, though. I’d wanted to submit the listing (as it used to be) under the heading of “Don’t Look Down” due to Pic 35 as well as shots similar to the stairway shots from this listing, but when I got around to it, the older listing was no longer available. Guess someone was busy flipping it. It looks better now, though “better” is a relative term, seeing as how it has all the warmth and charm of a showroom. Not sure what sort of showroom… just a generic showroom. Great views, though, and I love the river rock entry drive. Looks like that took a whole lotta time to install.
