A 1928 house with an indoor pool? Yeah, I’d say it needs renovation. Even the guest cottage is toast? Erg. It’s within 50 miles of a still active volcano, the only one to have erupted in the continental U.S. in centuries (Mt St Helens), and 100 miles from another that may yet trump that one (Mt Ranier)? And they want $2.5M??? Without seeing any of the interior, I can’t be sure, but the few facts we do have leave me very dubious about this “investment.”

Maybe they are marketing the house to hunters or taxidermists who might want to mount those “next door neighbors” on the wall. No interior is worth looking at until you have a collection of dead animals in “natural poses” collecting dust in every room.
