@Anodean: I'd never heard of oolite. Thanks for expanding my vocabulary. :) From what Wikipedia had to say, I'd expect oolite to have lots of tiny circular elements to it, so maybe this is something else. I have no idea what, though. I know from marble, travertine, slate, and a couple others when I see'em, but beyond that all I know is it's stone. Maybe that's why the place seems tedious... it's just too relaxed from being so stoned to provide a challenging environment.

For someplace so undeniably posh, it feels so strangely tedious. As I paged from room to room — each admittedly graced by finer fittings and more extravagant views than the last — all it produced was a sense of myself trudging along an unending circuit of the place with buffiepuffs on my feet mumbling “Time to polish the oolite… time to polish the oolite…” or whatever that stone is…

As nice a quality as the place is, it still feels pretty sterile to me. Definitely needs a few kids’ toys, some magazines, and an assortment of empty coffee mugs sitting around to look at all human inhabited. Same with the landscape. The exterior shot above is one of the better ones, what with the section of green golf course predominating. The pics aren’t numbered, but about 3/4 of the way through there’s one labeled “balcony” that shows the almost completely barren wasteland that the property backs onto. Erg. Who the heck ever thought up the idea of living here? At least there are multiple pools and spas to keep one from becoming as dessicated as the surroundings. And boy, do I have a jealous over that swim-in-place pool (Pic 8 at the listing). Yup, I’d be happy owning just that one little piece of this place.

@Frodo: With all the guest suites you know it's already being used like a B&B, just free of charge for all your "friends," aka business associates who are going to help you make that much more money. Grrrr.....

It’s probably against the HOA rules, but it would make a nice upscale B&B resort for people who wanted to come to Vegas but still get away from the city when they weren’t doing whatever Vegas-y activities they had in mind.
