@Colleen: Really? Was that only on the front of the house or anywhere? I know a lot of people who have "party lights" - rather than "holiday lights" - around their deck, on overhead trellises, or in trees in the backyard. They're totally festive and I'd hate to think they'd garner fines. :(

Makes me laugh about the Christmas light. I know I have seen them around here on houses. When we lived in San Diego, you could get fined for leaving your lights up past 31 January

The street address is 404. Sometimes the Gods do have a sense of humor. Not only is there not much there there at that address, there's not much there there in general. The town population is less than 3500 and it sits literally at the end of the road, Highway 92, to be exact. It may be nice as very small towns go, but I fail to see how this, or most (if any), houses in it call for a price tag of nearly a quarter of a million dollars. Sure, it's only about 10 miles from picturesque and popular Everett and 30 or so from Seattle, but c'mon - the place does not merit $220K as is, let alone given the utterly inadequate listing comment "...needs some TLC." By the time the place was made livable you'd have spent at least half again as much money. Starting from scratch could mean double.

On the upside, there are those "fabulous views from back side of home" (which inexplicably were not included) and there's some brand new construction just across the street. Hard to tell what quality/scale it is, though; only foundations show at present.
