Huh… just looked at the street view and I don’t see where there’s a double lot. Google’s images are from October, 2014 and there’s new construction directly behind this home, like with a few feet of it. And there is a parking lot to one side and a street to the other. Part of the forward view to the “unobstructable” side is of a 3-lane, double bike lane street fronting the lake. This is the last older single home for quite a stretch; the majority now are multi-unit apartments/condos.

Not a bad looking place considering it was built in 1918. Obviously updated at some point, maybe in the ’70s, but even most of that styling still looks usable. Take out a few of the brown shades, add in some color and other materials/texture, and it would present a nice place to be inside.

I’m a bit confused about the outside, though. The description says there are two lots, which implies lots of space. But if you look at Pics 5 & 8 you can see what looks like a parking lot in the former and a vehicle either parked or driving by in the latter. That’s mighty close for comfort in my world, even without the price tag.

And I find it amusing the listing states there is an “unobstructable” view. Maybe, but something about saying it that way sounds like a challenge to the Powers That Be. Never underestimate the ability of stupid people with lots of cash, and looking to make tons more, to screw up what seems like an unscrew-upable situation.

Either that’s a reeealy brown house or the listing agent went crazy with warmifying the photos of the interior. I’d have to repaint and decorate with some color.
