@Emerald63: Whoa... total lack of proofreading... "feels like a resort, etc", "so many kitchens because the place", "Indoors, if... it will remain quite cool."

Yeah, really tired of highlighting something to change and my computer suddenly flipping the highlight to something else. If I don't notice and do even one keystroke, whatever was wrongly highlighted is gone. I can get it back but only if I realize what's happened. GRRR.....

@Frodo: I agree it has the feels like a resort or corporate retreat, but the listing says it's a private home. I think there are so many kitchens is the place has over 20,000 square feet!!! You'd work up an appetite after eating just by walking from the kitchen back to wherever you were before. (O_o)

There are specific elements I like here, though I don't care for the size. The rock-work entry terrace and water feature (Pics 22, 23, & 25) is very nice, though it desperately needs shade. And as you know, I'm a big fan of a transition-less blend of indoor and outdoor space where the climate permits (Pics 6, 15, 31). Here I'd think that in general outside space is good for early morning and evening use in summer and daytime use in winter. Indoors, if the place is well-built in the style of traditional housing. Unfortunately, this place has lots of big windows, only spotty overhangs, and nary a deep window-well in sight.

Oh, the tanning booth? Why bother with all that icky heat just to get a tan? You're already defying Nature with thin walls and lots of glass, so step right up and get a tan the easy modern way!

This isn't a house. It's a high-end desert resort. This is so over the top that I'm wondering, why the green and orange refrigerators? The walk-in cooler isn't enough or isn't conveniently located? Also, where are the tacky statues? No tacky statues? Every over the top home needs tacky statues. I guess the fireplace in the bathroom, the tanning booth when you have all the sun in the world, and multiple grilling areas out back make up for the lack of tacky statues.
