It's a bit more oppulent than anything I'd ever want to live in. And I have to wonder -- if you've got $28 million and you want to live in an English manor house, why not buy the real thing? The place is positively crawling with them.

Hey Marty! Good to see some activity here!! That's weird about the comment section disappearing, but believe me, all sorts of weird tech things have been happening in my neck of the woods, so finding some elsewhere is both reassuring and disconcerting. :\

Anywho, Chiltern Manor... If the listing didn't say it was in California, who woulda known? And at least one rich person in CA has some taste? Well OK, then. :D

I'm especially fond of the "breakfast nook" (Pic 10), if you can call it that. So much for "eating my Wheaties" to be ready for the day. Just a cup of coffee or a 12 course brunch, doesn't matter in a place like that - World, here I come!

The little stone gazebo with the domed veil of fairy lights (Pic 19) is also quite nice. Perfect setting for anything from afternoon drinks to a full on wedding. Wish they had an after-dark pic.

And the room in Pic 21 (separate apartment or just upstairs lounge with dining?) has got everything - comfy furniture, great natural lighting, and a grand fireplace. Not sure if such a nice painting should be in that natural light, but if anyone can afford the best UV filtering glass, it's these folks.
