Not What I Meant When I Said I Wanted a “Green Home”

2619 W Marine View Dr., Everett, WA 98201

That photo above is the primary listing photo, but I think we’re looking at the garage.

Here’s the main home:

Apparently the seller really likes green.

Like, a lot.

  1. Oh hah! Just after posting this I realized that this is a duplicate post… sort of.

    The same home was featured here a few months ago when they had a different photo on the listing, terrible for a different reason.

    And what, pray tell, is wrong with liking green?! It’s a lovely color! ;P

    Along with green they must really like their stove. Fully half the pictures are of the stove. Go figure. Oh, and if that’s an outside door next to the stove, ain’t nobody gonna break in without making a huge racket. I mean, with that many cast iron frying pans hanging on the door, it’ll take quite a bit of effort to even open the thing. Then, along with the clatter, a thief might add his own broken-toe screams should any of the things hit him on the toe. Very interesting security system.

    Again, this is just across a major thoroughfare from the Everett Shipyard. Gotta be lots of comings and goings there, along with lots of… interesting… noises. No wonder the place is still for sale. :\

    Getting caught up on what I missed while I was away. Wow! What a mess this listing is. I got very confused when I opened the street view on this and saw the house that I instantly recognized from its earlier appearance here. They didn’t use a photo of the front this time at all — not even the photo of the photo that they used the 1st time around. ?? They didn’t bother correcting the mistakes from the first time, either. (“Great Started home with many potentials.”) They say it’s a 3 bedroom, but there’s only one bedroom on the main floor, so I’ve got to assume that the other two are in the basement? I’m guessing that the basement is a bit on the dank side.

    And I’m still wondering what on Earth makes them think that this is worth $100 k more than it was 3 years ago…

    @MsWildhack: A typo?

    Typo in what they’re asking for it or a typo in what it sold for in 2012? I’ve just looked it up in the Snohomish County Assessor’s Office database and it did, indeed, sell for $75,000 on April 11, 2012. They have it assessed as being worth $111,700 for 2016 tax purposes.

    And I’ve just noticed that they want $195 k for it now. LOL.

  9. @MsWildhack: I was talking about a typo in the current asking price, as in a decimal in the wrong place. Maybe it was just inserting a 9 for a 1, since $115K would make sense. But I was really only joking.

    Part of me knew that. Unfortunately, the part of me that didn’t it the one that responded. :-)
