I Think I Already “Saw” This Home

What the…

Historical structure was once the power house to 1900s saw mill.

Oh. So I guess they’re just leaving a giant busted saw blade lying around for “character.”

Cool, so what does the actual home look like?

Hmm.

Conversion to private residence partially complete – bring your architect and interior designer!

…and a few big sacks of cash. In addition to the million dollars you’ll be plunking down to buy the home building itself.

To be fair, it does have a cool, unique look to it, from the outside.

And look, it even comes with a smiling, waving family!

Wait, they’re not included in the price?

Oh well, at least it’s got a sweet lakefront setting.

‘Kay… does anyone else see the irony in a former saw mill being built of concrete? Really ugly, unfinished, uncovered concrete? How many of Marty’s “big sacks of cash” will it take to cover up all that concrete? Not to mention putting in actual, you know, flooring and walls. Oh, and appliances, plumbing fixtures, and maybe even just plumbing in general.

The place may have potential, but at this point that’s about all it’s got. Except for that adorable tiny log cabin. I’d buy that in a heartbeat. Just not for $1M+.

  2. So the property lines indicated aren’t quite accurate because it doesn’t include the building pictured in photo 10, which is one of the ones closer to the road – the southernmost. They didn’t picture the northernmost next to the road, but I’m sure it’s the one that has the small finished area pictured in photos 18-20.

Lots of work to do to have to pay a cool million up front. On the other hand, I see a high-end turnkey wedding chapel setting – indoor or outdoor wedding with plenty of space for the reception party with catering included. If done right, those large rooms can be set up to be decorated on demand. Even the other buildings can be turned into overnight rooms for family and wedding party. The exterior can be covered and modeled with something nicer than concrete. Some work needs to be done on that end of the pond though to pretty it up, though. I’m sure whoever did that would have to fly it by the neighbors since it would disturb the pond temporarily.
