Not a lot to say about this one. It’s a fairly normal 2.4 million dollar listing, but as I was scrolling through the photos—BAM—that deep purple sofa just jumped out of nowhere.

I also appreciate that they’ve included the directly-above shot that I love.

I can barely handle the photos. It’s hard to imagine what it would be like to actually step inside in real life.

Sometimes you wonder if a listing agent was drunk when they uploaded the photos of the home they’re allegedly attempting to sell…

And drunk when they took the photos.

Actually, given the home’s decor…

…I can’t help but wonder if the residents were also drunk when they chose their furniture and accents.

So many questionable choices here.

Weird rocking chairs, and fuzzy tabletop dog bust.

Weird tables, especially with the intricate wood-carved one right next to that tall all-mirror one.

But all the weird stuff can be ignored…

…as long as you spend most of your time just staring outside at the awesome view.

I’ve definitely never seen a table quite like that. There’s probably a reason for that.

I also like how the chaise lounge chairs in the purple room face away from the view.

Can’t say that I’ve ever gotten off a horse and thought “that was so comfortable, I wish I could sit on a saddle all day, in my house!”

Also, did someone spill orange juice all over this photographer’s lens?

Is the home flooded with Orange Fanta? What’s going on?

By my count, there is seating for nearly fifty people in this main dining / living room.

But the bar seats only three, apparently.

Spectacular Mid-Century Modern Estate just completed!

Um, in order to be a Mid-Century Modern, I think it needs to have been completed in the middle of the (previous) century.

I counted nine television screens scattered throughout this house. Two of them are outside. Because screw nature.

Speaking of nature, check out the ultra-natural palm tree in the middle of the ultra-natural courtyard.

Asking price on this over-the-top spec home: $8.5 million.

Classy.

Okay this room is pretty cool. Not sure about the wild assortment of upholstery patterns, but I dig the circular sofas and table. Would be great for board gaming.

Given the listing price of just $24,000, I assume that this home is in a rather frightening neighborhood. [Update: Confirmed. Murder risk 3x the national average, robbery risk 6x… yikes!] This might explain why the previous owner apparently left in such a hurry, scattering the contents of their desk all over the floor in their rush to vacate the premises.

What I really enjoyed about this (small) set of photos is how the rest of the house appears to be completely empty. Maybe the former occupant lived a very simple life and this was the only room they used?

Where are the beds? YOU CAN’T SEE THEM!

Um, yeah. So, there’s that. I guess it’s important not to forget.

Aside from the… interesting choice of bathroom decor, it’s a little hard to tell in this listing what’s for sale.

Is it a home or a bunch of tastefully-arranged furniture?

Also, after seeing the bathroom, I’m really curious what this neon pink sign says, but I can’t make out the word from just the last three letters.

Any ideas?

I guess there’s something to be said for choosing a theme and… um… going all out with it?

I have to say, I don’t really understand the point of photos like these that almost exclusively feature furniture, decor, and other items that won’t be sold with the home.

Cool table! Now I’m totally going to buy this home!

On the other hand, when this is the most exciting shot of the home itself that you can come up with…

I can see why you would prefer to feature the decor instead.

I didn’t know it was possible for furniture to be racist, but… well…

Those are definitely some… um… unique bar stools, that’s for sure.

The ottoman in what appears to be one of this home’s six living rooms is quite something too:

The really strange thing is that the whole rest of the house seems perfectly normal. It’s a funky furniture sneak attack.

Once in a while you’re browsing the listing photos of what is otherwise a perfectly normal 4.3 million dollar condo (with $4,312 a month HOA dues), when you catch something out of the corner of your eye that makes you do a double-take.

Like the bedroom table in this photo that was designed to look like a subservient little girl (or maybe just a small lady?) frozen in place, head bowed, forever holding up the glass surface just so you can have a place to set your evening cup of tea.

What?

Wow that is a lot of white. I wonder if they provide complimentary ski goggles for visitors.

This is also the third appearance of the bubble chair. Weird.

Okay, I have no idea why these two are sporting such such smug grins as they offer up their strange, colorless… um… foods?

But the next room over is where the real fun happens. There are so many great things about this room that it took the photographer three photos to capture everything. There’s the giant Union Jack rug…

…and the not-at-all-creepy framed Woody Allen poster…

…and of course we can’t forget the special encased Wonka Bar.

That is a pretty keen spider lamp though.
