Interestingly, the photos on the “virtual tour” have file names that call this the “Generac home.” Generac is the company that makes the poolside generators, and their headquarters is located less than an hour from this home.

I thought maybe the home was owned by the CEO or some other high-ranking executive at Generac, but searching for a Generac connection to the owner name listed with the county assessor comes up empty.

I choose to believe that what we’re seeing in these photos is the annual meeting of the international Generac fan club.

This house is incredible.

I’m just not sure that it’s all the good kind of incredible.

What kind of home has its own airport?!?

Wayne Newton’s house, it turns out. From an October Forbes article:

Known as ‘Casa de Shenandoah’, 6629 S. Pecos Road hit the market in September for a whopping $70 million, but has seen its asking price slashed by more than 30 percent in recent days. Wayne Newton’s former 36-acre Xanadu now lists for just $48 million.

The famed performer and his family resided at the ranch from the 1960’s up until 2010, when, amid bankruptcy, Newton sold the property to a development company for $19.5 million. Newton retained a 20 percent stake in the company, CSD LLC, which aspired to convert the majority of the outlandish property into a theme park. However, after a combination of lawsuits, money disputes and poor planning, the development company went belly up and the home was put up for sale.

Despite its fate, the home remains the stuff of real estate legends and an embodiment of one of Las Vegas’ greatest showman.

You’re looking at the primary photo for this Phoenix townhome. Yes, the fact that the Goodyear Blimp happened to be a few thousand feet overhead was more important than showing us anything about the house itself.

Actually, there aren’t any photos of the inside of the house in the listing at all. There is this nice shot of the bars around one of the community pools, though.

That’s just as good as actually seeing the thing they want you to pay $299,900 for, right? Right?
