[…] This home sold last July for $2.6 million. It was listed again this March for $4.2 million, then re-listed on Wednesday (June 25th) with a new low price of just $4,067,000. Still quite a bit cheaper than the $80 million asking price for Dracula’s Castle in Romania. […]

That's a nice video at Bran-Castle.com, with a welcome from one of the Hapsburg clan, no less. Color me impressed. You can see from the video (which has a hauntingly lovely musical accompaniment) that the home is close to town, though, being on the heights above, has spectacular views. There's also a really nice lawn out back, as well as a good sized guest house.

The pics at the main listing link have numerous good interior shots. The Medieval styling features hand-carved wood and stone structures with white washed walls and genuine hard wood floors, as well as rich jewel tone fabrics, leather, and majolica tile accents. A delightful courtyard shows off the terra cotta tiled towers and half-timbered open air galleries.

On the upside, there are neither kitchen nor dining room images of meals in progress at any of the links. On the downside, the price is just too bloody high, fang you very much.

(Great job on finding pics and info, Marty. Thanks!)
