My only thought was that this would be a great way to put a lot of time and energy into decorating a place and still ensure that relatives would not want to visit.

What to call this… “style”? How about “Discount Liberace”? Where do you even get a breakfast set like that (Pic 9)? I mean, look at the price tag on the house – it’s not like these folks could likely afford to have every piece of furniture custom upholstered, especially when they’ve spent all that money on the inexplicable exterior marble cladding and their own private Greek theater. (What, do they have Esther Williams’ type shows in the pool?) Obviously they ran way over budget or they would finished the theater with period benches.
