When I try to focus on that kitchen – where, by the way, they appear to have set up some sort of very odd party buffet on the island counter top – , I feel as though I’m about to fall over and wake up next morning outside a deserted laundromat.

Well yeah, breathtaking! Why do you think the images are all so blurry? It’s hard to keep your hands steady when you’ve been holding your breath for that long. DUH!
However, I’m stumped on how they got the Doppler Shift effect to be so evenly distributed between blue and red shifts. I mean, you’d practically have to have a camera dolly track there to move back and forth to do that!
