It seems as though one of this property’s many outbuildings is dedicated entirely to suit storage.
And yet even that is not enough space, as the suits overflow into the sitting room.
Also, there’s this bathroom:
The sink built into the window ledge is a neat feature, though.
Maybe the previous owner had a thing for skinning Mormon missionaries???
@Denita TwoDragons: Denita!!! Hey girl!! Great to see you here again! I’ve been meaning to get back to you. Been swamped with several things since the New Year, but you’re definitely on my radar. :D
Indeed this place does suit me! A picturesque, white-washed country home on the beautiful Isle of Erin, numerous stone outbuildings and a bit of land… what’s not to love for $1.25M? I initially balked at the listing saying (in all caps) that this was a reasonable price, but then I looked at what all comes with it, reminded myself it’s in the UK, and came to the conclusion that, yup, it’s reasonably priced. Heck, that’d be a pretty good price in most locations in the US, too.
Hmm… about the suits… Maybe they run a men’s clothing business? Or a formals rental service? So this is cheaper than holding down another location? Maybe they deliver. Or maybe they do the clothing for some large-scale performance group, like a symphony? Or own a chain of funeral homes and supply the employees with their work clothes? Whatever, just give me the hardwood floors and double wide doorways of the outbuilding for crying out loud! Who needs the main house with an outbuilding that looks that good?
I hear ya on that bathroom wallpaper, Marty. For some reason, the Brits love their overly loud floral wallpaper and they love it on.every.single.surface.in.the.room. Hey, at least this bathroom seems properly scaled. The obvious after market one in Pics 17 & 18 makes me feel exposed just looking at it, let alone using it.
I’d love to get a crack at redoing the decor to suit me personally, especially since I’ll be saving a ton on this “REALISTICALLY PRICED opportunity.” Just gotta find my way down the barely paved, one lane path that passes for a country road… Supposedly it’s “a thing” in the Irish countryside. I’d say “pass” but that is not, alas, realistic. I really do wonder what happens when two cars meet going in opposite directions…
Oh yeah I forgot to mention how amusing the passive-aggressive language is in the listing.
@Marty E.: Well, they *are* British. Proper manners and all that…
Obviously the previous occupants were a Lord and a Tailor.

The King of Suede knows realistic pricing. In the words of the Master, as no one can improve on Weird Al Yankovic:
There’s a sale on our gabardine suits today.
They’re all thirty percent off from yesterday…
@anodean: Sung to the tune of “King of Pain” …perfect.
Obviously Barney Stinson’s house
